About KUK
KUK also known as Kurukshetra University is a public state autonomous university accredited by the NAAC with an “A+” grade. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and it is a member of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). KUK was placed in 150-200 rank band (overall), 100-150 rank band (university) and 100-125 rank band (pharmacy) in NIRF Rankings 2023. At present, there are over 284 affiliated colleges to KUK.
The median package offered during KUK placements 2022 was Rs 3 LPA for UG 3 years courses and Rs 4 LPA for PG 2 years courses. The university has 49 departments offering about 171 courses at certificate, diploma, UG, PG and doctoral levels. The university has a placement cell to handle and organise the placement drive at the campus. Kurukshetra University placements are conducted for the final year students. The placement cell ensures that students are well prepared for final placements and are offered maximum job opportunities. During the entire KUK placement process, right from training to final placement, the placement cell assists students. The university also provides summer internships to students. KUK admissions are offered in a wide range of courses at different levels. For admission in MBA courses, the university accepts JEE Main scores. Kurukshetra University courses admission are offered on the basis of merit in qualifying exam or marks obtained in national level entrance exam/university entrance exam (depending on the course). At the postgraduate level, CAT scores are taken into consideration for MBA admission, whereas for KUK admission in MTech, GATE scores are accepted. Kurukshetra University Application Process 2023
KUK application process is completely online. Candidates are required to visit the admission portal of the university to fill the application form. Applicants must know that before filling the KUK application form, they must fulfil the eligibility criteria of the desired courses. Mentioned below are the step-wise application process of KUK.
Step 1: Visit the admission portal of the Kurukshetra University.
Step 2: Click on the “Apply Now” tab. A new window will open where you have to sign up and create an ID.
Step 3: Once the ID is created, login and select the course you want to apply for and fill the application form.
Step 4: After filling the application form, pay KUK application fees.
Step 5: The last step after paying the application fee is to submit the application form and take a printout of it for future reference.
KUK Cut Off
Every year, KUK cutoff is released in online mode on the official website of the university. The university releases a separate cut-off for each programme. Only candidates who meet Kurukshetra University cut off are eligible to participate in the admission counselling conducted by the university. The cut off for BTech courses is based on JEE Main scores of candidates, whereas KUK MBA cut off is derived from the CAT scores. The university releases multiple cutoffs for admission. Kurukshetra University fees for B.Sc is Rs 40,600 annually. The course duration is of 3 years and students who have completed their class 12 with PCM/PCB can apply for the courses. The total tuition fee for the B.Sc programme is round around 1,30,000. However, this is merely the course fee. You are required to make payment for the examination and security fees over and above the tuition fees for Kurukshetra University.
